Meet our client, Samantha. She’s pretty great — and so is her company.
She’s a botanist, flower farmer, and owner of Fairview Farm & Flowers, a flower farm in New Jersey. FF&F specializes in creating custom pieces for customers nationwide while working with their own blossoms and other local suppliers.
In 2021, Samantha hit a huge sales milestone — and wanted to celebrate by outsourcing a complete brand build-out!
Her biggest goal? Create a cohesive aesthetic for her brand across all platforms so that everyone who came in contact with FF&F could feel the elevated, intimate, wonder-inspiring nature of her work.
She felt her current branding wasn’t quite accomplishing that, so we got to work transforming her brand.
Before
Samantha also wanted to create physical products that extended the brand even more, like fun packing tape and stickers for when they ship dahlia tubers. So we got to work!
To create a cohesive, gorgeous brand for Samantha, we first had to define brand keywords and client personas that spoke to her audience intimately and showed off the unique qualities of Fairview.
Her client persona “didn’t grow up with fresh flowers in the house every week, but now that she’s an adult with a bit of disposable income, she’s treating herself… Every time she picks up an arrangement, she feels like she’s feeding her soul and connecting to her community. She becomes a little more curious, a little more alive, a little more at home.”
Sounds dreamy right? This, of course, led us to choose her brand keywords, which are:
To pull it all together visually, we created a mood board image + mood board notes. Since Samantha has a botany background, her inspiration board has touches of apothecary and science.
Fairview is a Gilded Age home, so we also wanted to incorporate some of the themes from this era into the typography and shapes. And, of course, there’s a focus on the colors and joy that flowers bring.
Below, you’ll see images of the brand we’ve created for Samantha, including mailers for her dahlia tubers, packing tape, business cards, her moodboard, and even her physical product PDF designs.
