February 4, 2025
From our February Newsletter:
“Choosing to say yes to a friend’s request to come over and talk when you had planned to knock out a project; putting down your work when a little child needs help; being flexible to accommodate someone else’s needs when it minorly inconveniences you. When I live like this, actively choosing to value people over my personal to-dos, great and small, I find peace sprouting up. So much of our lack of serenity comes from our personal preoccupation with self. When I lay that aside and don’t spend so much time thinking about myself, serenity starts to fill in the cracks.”
Our February mood board is all about the virtue of serenity. We’re gravitating toward industry and warmth, creating meaningful space for reflection and connection, looking forward to things, accepting responsibility for not letting things stagnate, cozy, natural textiles, brisk walks, the joy of friendships, and art.
We’re sharing more about our February mood over at our newsletter. Each month we put together reflections to get us thinking, real life inspiration (things we actually love, not just influencer links) mood boards, resources, and more. We’d love to send it to you!
Our hope is that our little newsletter is a bright spot of reflection and beauty in a cluttered world. We promise no spam — space in your inbox is something we take very seriously.
If you’re reading this after it’s sent, just shoot us an email at lab@nicoleayang.com and we’ll forward it along.
Cheers to February!
