How to Simplify Your Pricing Guide, Part 1

We’re on a mission to make design easier! Every week, we answer a question from our Design Hotline— an Instagram line where we walk you through your biggest design questions! Here’s a submission we recently answered.

BEFORE

Ah, the pricing guide. Many of us use these bad boys on a regular basis, so here are my best tips on how to simply and polish it like a pro!

1. Edit your “About Me” page These generally tend to be too long, so cut out anything that is repetitive.
2. Create a Table of Contents This is super helpful for longer documents and serves your client better!
3. Cut down on repetition Remove redundant elements and make sure that the viewer doesn’t have to go back and forth to reference simple information.
4. Give pricing pages space Make sure to change the rhythm of how a viewer moves through the pages. This is the most important information in the document, so we can give it more space.

AFTER

Combined information that has been given the right amount of space and organization makes it easier for the viewer to read and understand!

Giving the pricing or package pages a different layout helps to set this information apart and signals to the viewer that it is important!
